-PERSONAL-
Fatal Flaw: Sometimes he tries to keep everything inside a bit too much, and can drive people away.  He finds that whenever he needs help there are few, if any who are willing to stick around.
Hobbies: Running, map-making, studying ancient history, rock-climbing, drawing, playing piano.
Traits: His directness and almost complete disregard for others' feelings, his love for running, his sense of logic.
Personality: Roy tends to keep to himself, not to the point of avoiding people, but enough to accurately lay claim to only a few as friends.  He typically gets straight to the point, not bothering with softening any kind of emotional blow, because sooner or later it would have the same effect; there was no sense in dragging out pain when it could be over in an instant.  While he likes to think that he's completely unreadable, he has little awareness over what his facial expressions actually reveal.  His eyes are his greatest betrayers.
History: The only parental figure Roy has ever known is Mr. Ackerman, but the man always made it a point to reinforce how he was not Roy's father.  Roy was only ever told that he was entrusted to Mr. Ackerman by his parents, and nothing significant about them was mentioned, with the only time the man even said a word about them being when he was intoxicated after a rare night out.  Roy was fairly happy living with Mr. Ackerman despite his lack of friends at school, and was given the chance to try many different activities to serve as outlets after he got into a fight.
As a child, Roy was upset for a lot of the time and never settled with the absence of his parents, instilled by Mr. Ackerman holding him at arm's length most days.  Over time, however, once he found creative and active outlets, he mellowed a bit and became less concerned with the past.  This, however, resulted in making him a bit cold because he could never quite make proper friends.  In the end he gave up and settled with being alone, never bothering to voice any personal troubles he had with anyone but Mr. Ackerman.  At school he was successful athletically and in the arts, but when it came to language arts or mathematics he was far from the best, discovering that he had dyslexia and ADHD once he entered middle school.
More recently, that relationship came under stress when the man returned home drunk, and began talking about Roy's mother.  Roy had forgotten about his parents, and even though he had very little knowledge of them, he felt it was his right to know about them.  When he pushed his guardian to reveal more about them, the only thing said was that they were dead.  Roy chose that night to pack up and leave, meeting a satyr by chance in Boston but believing him to be a normal person.  It was only after they encountered a minotaur that Roy was taken to Camp Half Blood.
