Alternate Timelines

(anything goes) This is where you would come if you want to accept The Cursed Child timelines and story. It is also for any ships or your own original character who is the offspring from those characters in the Harry Potter series. Or it could just even be way in the future or off in the past that is different then the timeline that JK Rowling provided in her series. Did Harry die or not show up at Hogwarts one year? Okay. Was Neville the Chosen One instead? How about that Wormtail never defected? Etc, etc.

Next Generation Era

(2007-2026) This is the era from when Teddy Lupin first boards the train to when the last of the Weasley brood graduates Hogwarts. Next Generation means the children of the Original members of the Harry Potter series not The Cursed Child. That is not canon and we don't see it as such on this site. We take the writings of J.K. Rowling not the fanfiction writer that penned the stage play. Sorry.

Harry's Era

(1980s-2000s) This is the era that the characters around Harry's own age went to school and lived. Have a canon and want to write them your way? Or even gone to school with an original character of your own that went to school with Harry and co? This is your era.

Mauraders Era

(1960s-1981) This is the age of the Mauraders when they ruled Hogwarts up until their end when Voldemort made his move on the Potters and sealed his fate.

Lord Voldemort Era

(1930s-1998) From Tom Riddle's childhood through school and into adulthood. This was the era he lived and died. From overcoming the poverty he was born into, to attending school collecting his followers and supporters that would one day become his loyal Death Eaters. His rise to power to when he toppled, living in the shadows of obscurity until he could try and overthrow wizardkind.

Grindelwald Era

(later 1800s-1945) This is the era that both the future Dark Lord Grindelwald and his best friend who would one day be the leader of the Order of the Pheonix Dumbledore lived. From going to school in Durmstrang and Hogwarts to becoming friends; their separation and eventual confrontation on opposite sides.

Founders Era

(1st-2nd century A.D.) This is a guess of when they would have decided to make their school with certain historical events taking place. Merlin was during the late 5th to early 6th century and we know he was at the school after the founders created it. This can be when the founders were children before they made the school to their adult lives when they came together to make Hogwarts. Or even if you would like the feud that came about and even after.
