Jane couldn't really sleep as of late she had been having nightmares about the day her older sister died. It hurt to think about Kaitlyn and how she sacrificed herself to save both Jane and her step-sister, Anna. Jane had been ten at the time and hadn't known the truth of her parentage when the monsters caught the scent of the two demigods and attacked. Jane feeling her emotions starting to come to the surface decided a walk in the forest was in order no matter how dangerous it was since she didn't want anyone to see her like this. Her cabin mates may be her peers but she didn't want them to see this side of her.
Pulling her leather jacket on over her purple top, Jane sneaked out of the cabin and headed towards the forest. She knew this was not the best example to be setting for younger campers, but she needed her space to think and lament. It probably wasn't the best idea to be wandering the forest in the middle of the night. Jane had always found comfort in solitude and tonight was no different. She found herself feeling a bit better. She was only pushing her grief back though, she has never been able to let it go. She sighed as she took a seat on a low hanging branch and pondered her life, sword sitting just at her feet.
