Personal History: Cade is the product of his life. Born as the middle child from a very poor family with basically non-existent parents. His mother had once told him that if he didn't like it there not to let the door hit him on the ass on his way out. So he did precisely that. He ran away when he was around twelve. He learned from the street people and learned to stick with a group when traveling. It was also around this time and the constant stress and hyper awareness a street kid needed that he learned he was different. He hadn't known at first that when he was asleep or half - asleep that he could tap into other people's dreams. At first it was accidental. Until he began to become aware of his 'talent' and started to play with it.

He learned that he could plant something like subliminal messages in the minds of those that were susceptible. At first he needed pictures in order to purposely enter someone's dreams whether it was someone he knew or a complete stranger. He liked to be a voyeur in some of the dreams and had fun learning about his abilities. He's sure that there is more that he could likely do but has learned that his 'gift' comes with a price. The deeper he goes trying to control a dream and/or someone's subconsciousness, the more it takes a toll on him in regards to his own sleep pattern.

Traits:
Shadow Travel - Nico can use shadows as a way of transportation; however, great distances tend to wear him out. The first time he shadow traveled, he passed out for a week. Overexertion of shadow travel can cause the user's molecular structure to begin to fall apart, gradually turning them into shadows and lose themselves.
Cryokinesis - When Nico is infuriated, he generates an aura of intense cold, making the temperature around him drop to freezing, with the ground around him and the massive cairn turning white with frost.
Sensitivity to Death - Nico can sense death as it happens or when it is coming; when a person close to him dies, it comes as a ringing in the ears. In addition to that, he has a deep knowledge of the Underworld and knows when a person's life is being judged in the Underworld. Nico can also sense when an immortal is fading.

-HISTORY-
General History: Born in in the mid to late 1930's before WWII and the big three's pact to never have anymore children. He lived with his mother and sister in Italy until he was about six years old when the family moved to America. It was while staying at a hotel in Washington, D.C. that Nico lost his mother when Zeus struck their hotel with his lightning in an attempt to kill both Nico and his older sister Bianca. The siblings were protected by Hades as he erected an impenetrable wall of black energy to shield them from Zeus's bolts; Hades however, was not able to protect their mother in time. Afterwards, a devastated Hades ordered one of his Furies named Alecto to take Nico and Bianca to the Underworld and bathe them in the River Lethe, in order to wipe their memories.

Shortly after the di Angelo children had their memories wiped, they were returned to Washington D.C. and told by a lawyer (Alecto in disguise) that their parents were dead, and had left a bank trust for them. This "lawyer" would come by once in a while to check on both of them. During this time, Nico and Bianca were enrolled in a boarding school. After some time had passed, Hades, hoping that one of his children might one day become the "child of the Eldest Gods" (referred to in the Great Prophecy), decided to place them in the Lotus Hotel and Casino, and tasked Alecto with the job. Once again disguised as a lawyer, Alecto had Nico and Bianca leave the boarding school, and took them all the way to the Lotus Hotel, in Las Vegas.

It was during his stay in the Lotus Hotel and Casino that Nico came across Konan a three headed cerberus puppy. The puppy recognizing Nico's scent as that of a child of Hades taught the boy how to shadow travel. They went on many trips outside the hotel which over the 70 years allowed the boy to age about year.

Your Journey: Alecto had moved them out of the Lotus Hotel and Casino and enrolled Nico and his sister Bianca in a boarding school in Maine. It's a military type school that requires uniforms. The rest of the journey will be forthcoming.

Gaspard was brought up in very loving and encouraging household, wanting for nothing. Even though he was spoiled, his parents were stern and tough, making sure that he wouldn't be the typical 'spoiled rich boy'. They don't have any maids or house elves so Gaspard has learned to do things for himself such as cleaning up after himself, dishes, and laundry. There is also time spent with his mother when it's time to cook dinner so that way they can be together and talk.

His love of learning could be traced to his parents as well since his parents would take him along whenever they had a job away from home. As they went over what they were doing, they would explain and ask Gaspard if he understood what they meant. They never discouraged him by saying he wasn't old enough to understand.

Both his mother and father were very pleased when Gaspard showed his first signs of magic even if the circumstances wasn't so happy. The boy had been playing with a soccer ball indoors (he knew he wasn't supposed to but didn't want to go outside and get muddy) which had accidentally ended up wedged in between the china cabinet and the wall. When pulling the ball out, he'd lost his balance and fell, the chair hitting the cabinet dislodging the ball and the dishes. Instead of falling on him and shattering they levitated above him.

However, since his parents do work it takes time away from him especially as he grew older and would soon be going away to Hogwarts. A jealousy started to form of when people would take his parents' attention away from him. He disliked it severely when his parents were spending time with him only to be called away to work.

Gaspard is rather reserved until he gets to know someone and then he's very open and even smiles and laughs. He's willing to try most anything at least once. Tries to be subjective and think outside the box. Can be mistaken as serious most of the time but he can be rather friendly and even act the child that he is. Loves to tease and be mischievous to those that are close to him.

Unfortunately he's also very competitive which can be both a good and bad thing. It drives him to be better but it also makes him his own worst critic if he doesn't measure up to what he's been striving for. He's very possessive and it could be from being an only child but he dislikes when he's talking to someone and someone else takes their attention from him.

The Kylar family is of Irish and Welsh descent while Gaspard's mother is of German descent. Ursula grew up near Berlin and was very happy there. She first began her love her future job when she was just a tot being read folk tales and mythology by her parents. As she grew older so did her love of finding out anything she could about the magical creatures of her world. She had worked hard to get into the exchange program at Castelobruxo since Brazil had many fascinating creatures to study. After graduating she went back to Germany for a brief bit where she met Ciaran.

Ciaran grew up in Cardiff, Wales as a single child with expectations on him that he continued to defy. First by being the first in his family to have magic, then when he decided not to pursue a political career either magical or muggle. He met Ursula when he moved briefly to Germany as an apprentice under manuscript restoration expert. The two fell in love and decided to move to Ipswich since neither sides of their families were particularly happy about them being together. Both had decided that they would allow their child or children the freedom to be whomever they were without the usual expectations placed upon those of higher society, breeding, or magical descent.
